 Places to get Bike servicing stuff

PostSubject: Places to get Bike servicing stuff    Tue Apr 12, 2011 11:22 pm

Hello folks, I will start the ball rolling on a list for bike servicing items ....

1) Degreaser - http://www.homely.com.sg/retail/retail_contact.html
2) El cheapo but workable toolset - Giant supermarket.... I am sure there are better ones... but I use this..
3) Dry telfon chain lube - Rodalink, Lifecycle
4) Methylated Spirit, for cleaning rims, spokes (not frames) @ Guardian
5) Separate tools such as cable cutter, cone wrenches etc from Gee Hin Chan
6) Rear wheel repair stand @ most bike shops
7) Muc-off (for frame) - Integrated Riding or Lifecycle.
8 ) Cheap disposable car cleaning cloth for quick wiping off dirt and dust after a ride, and wiping of dirty chains - available at most major supermarkets
9) common tools and oem bike tools (thin bladed die stamped multi spanner) from sungei road flea markets.
10) old world spare parts, new old stock parts from Song Seng Chan bikeshop.
11) special tools (Parker, Lifu) and hard to find items from ebay usa
12) Allen key toolset specially for bicycle parts (it has a bicycle logo on it) from Daiso only @ $2!

Anyone tried Muc off? I just used car shampoo.... is it better?

Just to add on, the car cleaning cloth is multi-purpose and highly absorbent, and leaves little to no threads behind if used correctly. mostly are 3 - 5 cloth in a pack.

Muc Off is good specially for those who goes offroad
spray and leave for 3-5 mins then rinse and wala..
