21st August ride - Kranji- Bollywood veggies- old lim chu kang Jetty and more

Let's visit Kranji as I was looking at the archive rides and not been there for sometime...

The ride will look like this.. minus the rain... I hope(finger crossed)

Time: 0730 am, End about 12ish
Distance 25km (one way)
Pace; Easy and slowly
Meeting location: Kranji MRT
Parking can be at Kranji war memorial or nearby HDB.. GL pls advice
Place of interest - Kranji War memorial, Hay diaries, Bolly wood veggies, Armour camp and Limchukang jetty

Ride Terms and conditions
1) Be punctual. We wait for slow riders, not late-comers.
2) Ride will be canceled if heavy rain.
3) Bring your own spare tube or cab fare.
4) Wear a helmet / Proper covered shoes for your own safety
5) Those joining the ride, pls comply to ALL Lead riders, Safety and sweeps
6 ) Wear a helmet / Proper covered shoes for your own safety.
7 ) Those joining the ride, pls comply to ALL LTA rules on cycling on public road during the ride.
8 ) Strictly cycle in a single file on public roads unless overtaking.
9 ) We reserve the rights to refuse any participation from any cyclist(s) at any point of time.
10 ) To instill and promote safety in cycling, we will not hesitate to "STRONGLY ADVISE" rider(s) who compromises safety on himself and/or the whole group during the ride.
11 ) We are just an informal group of cyclists, therefore none of us is liable or responsible for any accident or mishap that occurs to you during any of the rides we organise.
12 ) Always cycle with safety in mind at all times.
13 ) By joining the ride, means you have read the Terms and Conditions with full understanding.

Is one way 25km or to and fro 25km? Sorry for asking , cause from map it shows about 10 km from point to point .

Would you guys be cycling back to the starting point? I am asking as I would be parking my car around starting point.

around 20km one way.. cuz we will roam around that area... and see the team dynamics on the ground. U can park at Kranji war memorial.. that where I will park.

I am brand new member. A true novice. Know nuthing much about bikes and cycling. Hope to join this event though to get the feel. I old man turning 60.
Have been riding slowly on short exercusions with a new 9 speed Birdy ( for my butt). Farthest venture from Brickland Road to Jurong Park (think around 15 Km both way).
Need advice whether can survive this 50 Km trip.
(BTW I switch to cycling to save my knees from years of jogging.)

Hi Sir, welcome here. You are not at all old. The distance from Brickland till Jurong is more than 15km both way... I think at least 20 and above.

BTW, we ride slow. I suppose should not be an issue

I'm over 60 and don't feel old. Had my first ride with the group on ND and it was great.
I see you are in CCK, I'm also in CCK. If you wish, we can ride to Kranji station together.
