Get a pair of comfortable shoes with a hard sole for better power transfer. If the sole is soft, you will just be compressing the shoe with every pedal stroke, which wastes energy.

Some street soccer shoes have hard soles. Just look around and you should be able to find a suitable pair easily.

Regards,
Steve
