Interest check - Oct 9 Aljunied/ Joo Chiat heritage food trail easy ride

After the romantic "Love-in-the-air" ride last week do you feel a little overwhelm and empty in the stomach? Want to fill your 五脏庙 （5-guts-temple） by following the food trail in the heritage area of Aljunied and Joo Chiat?

Start Point: Open space in front of Aljunied MRT
Start Time: 800am
Estimated End Time: 130pm
Total Distance: Around 20km
Terrain: 60% small quiet streets, 20% road, 20% pavement
Slopes: Minimal, fixie also can!

We will start from Aljunied MRT, move out to Aljunied Crescent food center for quick breakfast, pass through Geyland Seri and follow the super bike-way (a covered drainage) no car all the way to Joo Chiat..

Inspired by Kevin and Gywn's blog posts in Pedal Inn we are going to follow their food and heritage trials along the streets of Aljunied to Joo Chiat area. We can stop at multiple food stops: Aljunied wan tan mee, Geylang Klang ba kut teh, Joo Chiat prawn mee, Indian rice, Katong laksa, Tao gua bao. East coast rd jln sultan prawn mee and kampong chichen rice... take photos before and after the foods. Bring your own music while cycling and admiring heritage architecture in the area.

Route: Aljunied MRT > Aljunied Crescent > Super Bike way > Joo Chiat > East Coast Road > Old Airport Road > Split - return to Aljunied or continue to East Coast Park all the way to CV, up to you!
