2nd Oct - Relaxing PCN ride from Bukit Batok to Buona Vista + Treknology!

After all the tough rides, it is time for a relaxing ride! Come join us on 2nd Oct (Sunday) for a fun and easy ride along the PCN.

Start Point: Open space outside West Mall (Bukit Batok MRT)
Start Time: 830am
Estimated End Time: 130pm
Total Distance: Around 23km
Terrain: 80% PCN, 10% Pavement, 10% Road
Slopes: Minimal, fixie also can!

We will make our way out from Bukit Batok Central, and head towards the Bukit Batok Nature Park. As you may know, the Bukit Batok Nature Park has an old disused quarry, with some nice scenery!

After that, we will head towards the Ulu Pandan PCN, starting from behind Keming Pri Sch. From there it will be PCN all the way to Buona Vista, no kidding! It is a really nice and long stretch of PCN, suitable for both slow or fast rides. Along the way, enjoy the greenery and also pass under a disused railway bridge.

When we reach Buona Vista (Est. 1030am), we will have a late breakfast at Ghim Moh food centre. After filling our stomachs, we will make our way to Treknology Bikes at Holland Grove Road, which is a short distance away. They are open from 1130am to 3pm on Sundays.

Once shopping is done, we will make our way back along the Ulu Pandan PCN back to Bukit Batok MRT. Feel free to break off anywhere along the route if you find it more convenient for you or need to rush off.

Route: Bukit Batok MRT > Bukit Batok Nature Park > Ulu Pandan PCN > Ghim Moh Road Food Centre > Treknology Bikes > Back to Ulu Pandan PCN > Bukit Batok MRT

Just a note on the route : The railway bridge over Pandan Canel next to AYE has been closed for quite a while. You guys might want to check if there is a detour around it.

Thanks for the advice, but the route is now passable. A walkway has been constructed to link up the two sides of the PCN. The walkway runs along side the AYE bridge. Think it opened about 2 months ago.

Also, I have posted my phone number in the first post. If for some reason you are unable to make it on that day itself, or will be slightly late, please let me know by SMS!

Will also update on this forum topic and Facebook group if the ride is cancelled due to rain or some other reason.
