I (Andy Yap) will subsequently hand over the fund to the Shopping Team( Mary Ang, Kimi and Boo) for purchasing the kid gift sets. A big thank to all for your quick actions to transfer the gift funds.
Xmas is about giving to those in need. I, personally feel that I am very blessed to have a beautiful wife, child and a whole bunch of warm, fun loving lovecyclingsg friends. Rather then just a big party and get drunk. I thought why not we make a difference and make a child smile this year. Nope, I have not really organise it before but here are the rundown of things
Date of event: 17th Dec
Time: 2pm, end by 5pm
Location Pertapis @ Kovan We will put a small wishing box at the Pertapis home with small paper hearts on 12th Nov, Saturday 1-2pm. This is to allow the children to write their own dream gift($20 value) they hope to have. We will collect the paper hearts Late Nov and distribute to our lovecyclingsg friends(Mary and Kimi IC ok) . Pls take at least one and help fulfill it. Make a young one smile and give them the hope that there is really kindness in the world. We may arrange a group to also ride to the location - more happening(TBD). Pls note, I understand there is 81 kids...... I hope all of them will get one present.
-UPDATE- We got 97 153 gifts!!!(pledge from FB & Forum) wooohoo.. The excess, I will put into the food portion(pls note) On 17th Dec, we will meet at Pertapis @ Kovan and mingle with the children.
-Ukele performances by Gywn and Kevin - Xmasry tunes to break the ice and create a mood.
- Games - Mini foot ball match - make up something there.
-Finale - LCSG team will read out the names and each child will come and be given his/her gift.
