Subject: 24th March World Waterday 2012 @ Punggol water way -Sat Mon Jan 09, 2012 8:32 pm
Putting this down as we discuss with PUB to support the world waterday
Starting time: 7:30 7:00 am (t.b.c.) Route name: Active, Beautiful, Clean Waters for All Route : 1. Start at 7am Punggol MRT, we should be at Punggol Waterway by 7:15am. 2. Cycle eastwards toward Lorong Halus Wetland (Beautiful), dismount and push across bridge § Learning activity at Lorong Halus Wetland 3. If we reach Lorong Halus by 8:30am, cycle to Serangoon East Dam via Pasir Ris Coast Industrial Park 6, otherwise stop at the Lorong Halus Wetland bridge to learn about the Serangoon East Dam. 4. Return to Punggol side and cycle along Punggol Promenade, around PCN, and down to Sengkang floating wetland (Active) § Learning and water activity (kayaking!) at Sengkang floating wetland 5. End of program. Sengkang MRT is nearby. Those need to go back to starting can cycle up PCN - Punggol Central to reach Punggol MRT. Rating: family ride Others: gifts from PUB, kayaking, and learn from the people who work on the water operations.
