PostSubject: Tires for roadie   Tue Jan 04, 2011 1:00 pm

Hey guys, I was thinking of changing my roadie tires to a more durable one. (I'm very rough on the road Razz) Am new to roadie.. My tire size is 700x23C.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated! Very Happy

700x23C is already quite "wide" for roadie use.. there is 700x25C or even 700x28C if you really want wider tires but at the cost of higher rolling resistance.. usually roadies even use 21C or 22C for more "speed"

or pick one of those tires with very high puncture resistance..

for more robust tires, you might wan to consider cyclocross tires.. for a bit of off-roading capability- just in case you find an interesting unpaved track..

I am presently using this pair of tires for my roadie.. mix of 22C in front and 24C rear.. so far its smooth rolling and has held up quite well..
