| I need advise/help. As I'll be moving out this week (will be staying near bukit batok polyclinic, do you guys know what's the best chain lock available? I would need a very good chain lock as I'll be locking my roadie(sadly, no choice) outside my house. I don't want those cheap chain locks that can be easily cut. Scared kene 'kapok' by thieves la. | |

| i know of none that is good.. its just whether the thieves have the tools or no..
best is still to keep indoors rather than lock

| Zack is right. I remember an article in Straits Times last year, when they experimented cutting different kind of bicycle locks with a normal lock cutter. a steel chain and the common flexible kind you see in bicycle shops takes less than half an hour, while the most resistant is the heavy and rigid U-shape kind which took them a couple of hours before they started to give up.
Still, even if you use the U-shape kind, parts may still get stolen, like wheels and even seatpost... | |

| The prob is I can't keep inside becoz there's no space. Since I'll be staying at bb for a year, I thought of tompang at my friend house but that would mean I can't cycle for a year. Since the lock will be risky, I'll probably put at my friend house. Anw thanks for the great advice ppl.  | |
