Group committee comprises of Chief Group leader, Group Leaders, Assist Group Leaders & Group Sweepers.

Group committee, pls note following:
- 7am meet up outside Changi Point Ferry Terminal. Group Leader to consolidate his group rider passports and hand over to the boatman.
- On boat, Group Leader pls conduct a safety briefing to your group.
- Groups photo at Pengerang Jetty before rolling out
- To stop at rest point - drink stall (abt 13km) before right turn junction, rest 5-10 mins.
- After the rest, proceed straight to Ostrich farm.
- After Ostrich farm visit, proceed to Rengjit town for lunch.

Rules for all riders
1. No rider is allowed to overtake / in front of chief group leader. No rider is to ride behind the last sweeper of group 3. The rider is allowed to do so if permission is given by any group committee member.
2. All riders are to obey the traffic rules and to ensure their own safety. Pls look out and give way to the vehicles driving out from small lanes to the main road.
3. No racing is allowed.
4. If the rider feel that his group pace is too slow, he may overtake and join the front group. He must inform his current group leader and the front group sweeper. Rule 1 still applied.
5. If the rider feel that his group pace is too fast, he is allowed to fall back to the next group. He must inform his current group sweeper and the next group leader. Rule 1 still applied.
6. If tire puncture / bike faulty, the rider and one experience member are allow to stay and repair. The remaining riders are to continue with their ride.

Pengerang Ride on 9 January 2010, the schedule as follow (subject to change):

6.15 am to 6.30 am – meet up at Changi Village Market for breakfast (for those who want breakfast)
7.00 am – meet up at Changi Ferry Terminal. Please be punctual.
7.30 am to 8.00 am – on boat (take 1 hour++ to reach Tg Pengelih jetty)
9.15 am – reach Tg Pengelih jetty, start to roll
10.00 am - arrived at rest point
10.10 am – roll again
10.30 am – reached Sungai Rengit town (total distance abt 18km)
10.31 am– proceed to ostrich farm distance another 4km
10.45 am – at ostrich farm, free & easy
11.45 am– left ostrich farm
12.00 pm– at sg rengit town for lunch
1.20 pm – finished lunch
1.20 pm to 1.55 pm – jalan jalan at Sg Rengit town
2.00 pm – left Sg Rengit town
3.05 pm – reach jetty and hang around waiting for boat
3.30 pm to 4.00 pm – on boat
5.15 pm – arrived Changi Ferry Terminal

From Tg Pengelih jetty to Sg Rengit town, the distance is abt 18 km
From Sg Rengit town to ostrich farm, the distance is abt 4km

Dont worry if you are slow, we will wait for you. The fast riders will ride ahead. Just come and have a fun riding.

Items to bring
Passport at least six months validity (pls check), must bring

ziplock bag to protect your handphone, electric items, passport etc if rain

1 – 2 bottle of water abt 500ml – 750ml will do, as the distance is short and there is shop selling water and the next rest point is abt 13 km only

Your bike size spare tube

Cheap rain cloth optional (can get from diaso or your house store) or just ride in the rain

Camera / video cam if you want to take photos/videos.

Money
ostrich farm adult & child ticket @RM12 & RM8 if u want to visit it

S$22 for two ways boat trip & some spare S$ when u are back in sg

RM150 or more for makan & buying things etc

Trip Distance
From Tg Pengelih jetty to Sg Rengit town, the distance is abt 18 km
From Sg Rengit town to ostrich farm, the distance ia abt 4km

From jetty to sg rengit town is a straight forward road, there will be a rest point before the sg rengit road sign, after the rest and roll another 100 meter, there is a sg rengit road sign and make a right turn at the road junction, after the turn proceed straight and will led u to sg rengit town.
From Tg Pengelih jetty to Sg Rengit town, the distance is abt 18 km
From Sg Rengit town to ostrich farm, the distance ia abt 4km

Hey guys I will be going down to Changi Ferry Terminal with me and my girlfriend. However we will require transport for us and 2 folding bikes. Can't really get on public transport so early in the morning. Is anyone going down from the west (Jurong), and has space for 2 more people and folding bikes?

Your help will be very much appreciated, thanks!

Uncle Clarence, sld it be Changi Point Ferry Terminal rather than Changi Ferry Terminal? Same terminal as the one going Pulau Ubin.

Uncle Clarence, sld it be Changi Point Ferry Terminal rather than Changi Ferry Terminal? Same terminal as the one going Pulau Ubin.

I'm very certain its the Changi point one. the other changi ferry terminal is under SAF and only goes to Tekong..

From what I know, its the same Jetty going to Ubin... I saw the counter for checking-in

Hey Zack,

Thanks for your offer, I dun mind squeezing but the bikes cannot squeeze sia. Not good to lay a folding bike on the side cos some parts may be damaged. Anyway I have already contacted Clarance regarding transport, he seems to have got it covered.
