World water day ride - 20 March 2011 - This weekend!!!

Ride update and route change..Please note. ..

World Water Day is an initiative that grew out of the 1992 United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED)and held annually on 22 March as a means of focusing attention on the importance of water and advocating for the sustainable management of water resources. The World Water Day activities here in Singapore follow the theme “Active, Beautiful, Clean Waters for All”. This is in line with PUB’s ABC Water Programme where our waterways and reservoirs are transformed into beautiful community spaces. There will be a host of activities island-wide over the weekend of 19th and 20th March, thanks to community partners All these activities takes place thanks to the stewardship efforts of community adopters of ABC Waters sites..

And Lovecycling will take up the Alexandra Canal route to Marina barrage. Farah(PUB) will also be conducting a personal tour of the sustainable gallery. PUB is also giving out event tees and I would need to know the riders sizing.. Pls update ur size preferance + mobile phone contact. On the tees, we will pass out the tees earlier so we can wear the event official tee on the day... collection time to be advised soon. Tees Limit to the first 50! *** Pls come earlier say 0630 so I can pass the tees to u.****

Event details
Time: 7.00am to 12pm (includes a tour at the Singapore Sustainable Gallery)
Start point: Blk 27A Commonwealth Ave Carpark (u will see old Queentown cinema there - see map)

Nearest MRT to Start point: Queentown MRT
Route: Alexandra Canal to Marina barrage, PCN mostly
Pace: nice and easy...
Guest-of-Honour (at Marina Barrage): Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong.
All participants will receive a complimentary goodie bag and a World Water Day T-shirt! I need the information by 25 February 2011
