12 Feb 2011 NTU Rally Training

We are about 2.5 weeks away from the big day, hope that everyone has trained well.

Doing a round island this Sat. Pls place yr name if your are interested.
The objective is to simulate the route and get our body adapt to the distance.

Time: 7am to 3pm
Avg Speed: 25km/h or less
Distance: approx. 120-128km (cycling on road)

Updated route with water points. Any suggesting to the route pls advise.
Start location: B2 carpark at East Coast Park, or commonly known as "Fort Road" Carpark.

Note:
1. This is a rally training, we will not stop for meals. So bring along gels or small bites. The body require fuel to burn. Bring 2 water bottle if possible, hydrate well throughout the ride.
2. There will be 6 stop points, we will rest for about 10-15 minutes. Will plan for water point in these pit stops.
3. As all rides, maintain road safety.
4. Helmet is a compulsory for actual rally day, so I would encourage wearing.
5. Bring along repair kits or money to take cab if the bike is belong repair.

Would like to suggest the starting location at Fort Rd car park. It's free car park for those who drive.

urgh!! Sian got tuition not able to join!

Hey me and Bernice will be able to start/join up at Boon Lay and go all the way to the end. Good place to stop at Boon Lay would be at Jurong Point, there is a Cheers store on the outside.

This is a proposed route, TBC.
Start location: TBC (we need to see who is joining and find a convenient meeting place). Tentatively will be at F1 Track.

Sure. Join us at West Coast. The first rest point likely to be at Labrador Park or West Coast.

We will meet around toilet area at fort rd carpark at 7am.
