Pulau Ubin Ride 20th Feb 2011

Hello team,
Let's go to Pulau Ubin and ride! We will ride around the island which I am told is mostly tarmac and some loose gravel. And for those who want to chiong the Ketam trail, pls wear proper helmet, gear...

Meet at 0730am at Changi village hawker centre
Bikes type - MTB, foldies with normal tyres. Keep the roadies and racing slicks for this weekend. If dun have MTB, can also rent at the island...or ask from our lovecycling team brothers..
Speed -- slow and steady
Distance-- TBD, will let Zack/David eleborate
Expected back to SG - 2pm

*Important: Terms & Conditions
1 ) This ride is open to all.
2 ) Be punctual. We wait for slow riders, not late-comers.
3 ) Ride will be cancelled if there is rain ( maybe not ).
4 ) Bring your own spare tube or cab fare.
5 ) To those joining the ride, pls comply to ALL LTA rules on cycling on public road strictly during the ride. Strictly no cycling on middle/right lanes.
6) Strictly cycle in a single file on public roads unless overtaking.
7 ) We reserve the rights to refuse any participation from any cyclist(s) at any point of time.
8 ) To instill and promote safety in cycling, we will not hesitate to "STRONGLY ADVISE" rider(s) who compromises safety on himself and/or the whole group during the ride.
9 ) We are just an informal group of cyclists, therefore none of us is liable or responsible for any accident or mishap that occurs to you during any of the rides we organise.
10 ) Wear a helmet / Proper covered shoes for your own safety.
11 ) Always cycle with safety in mind at all times.
12 ) By joining the ride, that means you have read the Terms and Conditions with full understanding.
13 ) Lastly, enjoy the ride and food.

those who dun wana bring their bikes can rent it there at price of S$6-S$8..
for those want check out the ketam trails.. can rent better bikes at S$18-S$20..

Road are well paved and easy. There are a few interesting slopes at the North part of the Island. Also not advisable to leave bike unattended if you visit Chek Jawa. If possible, visit the village head house. Buy some drink from him and get him to tell u stories. enjoy:)

That's cool! We should go lah kopi with the village head and take photo too.. hey it is my first time here after a long long time...so need David or Zack to lead the way. OR we all will holland big time.
