Hello folks, Posting on behalf on Mr Han....
In the wake of the terrible event happening at Japan, here is another group (HP Alumni) who is trying to do a good deed...so pls support the ride and details below.
Direct message from Mr Han(Secretary, HP Alumni)
"The whole world is shocked and saddened by the catastrophic earthquake and tsunami in Japan starting 11 March, 2011 and the unfolding crisis at the Fukushima nuclear plant over the past week. The HP Alumni (a not-for-profit organisation) is organizing a Charity Cycle Ride on the morning of 09 April, 2011 Saturday to demonstrate our local support, raise funds for disaster victims in Japan. We are going to involve the Japanese community in Singapore and to encourage them to come forward and take part hand-in-hand. HP Alumni had previously organised such charity rides in the past 3 years.
We are planning with NParks, a Government agency, to use their park connectors - which are safe riding havens for cyclists of all levels. The ride should end before mid-day. This is NOT a race and racing/road bicycle with "skinny" tyres will not be suitable.
Details are:
Japan Disaster 2011 (Charity Cycle Ride)
