| Hi guys! At the recently cancelled northern ride, I met a cyclist from Shen Zhen, China who rode with me and two others guys in the rain. According to him, most of the Dahon bikes in Singapore are manufactured in Shen Zhen. I was shocked to learn that the prices of Dahon there are between 40%-50% cheaper (not imitation). For example, u can a jet stream for about 5500RMB which is about S$1,100!! So I am thinking of organizing a short trip to SZ to get a bike, ride around SZ to look for makan, shopping and massage!!! Nothing fixed yet but most likely August/September 2011. Anyone keen? | |

most of us get our accessorises from them(China) online.. | |

| Do note that for the same design there are domestic and export model. Those big savings mentioned are the domestic models. From what I've noticed, domestic models uses cheaper components and the welding is not so refined. Perfectly ridable thou.
By the way, domestic model for Jetstream is called Dragon. And yes, I was tempted to buy. | |

hahaha Eddie went china with his family bought 2 Dahon bike 1 for his wife the other 1 for his younger son....hehehehe | |

| If I can't go to SZ, can buy for me? Haha.... Would love to join but due to project in office, freeze vacation leave (cannot take more than 2 days) till Dec11....  Can we order bicycle online from SZ? Any website to recommend? | |
