| Hi all Ironbutter ,
Next Sat is the ride, are you ready? Never mind at lease make sure your bike are ready.
Now are some tip to ensure your bike run smooth.
Bicycle
1.Clean and lubricate bicycle as necessary, especially chain and derailleur so that it shifts properly.
2.Check wheel bearings, bottom bracket, pedal adjustment and headset for looseness.
3.Check brakes and derailleur for adjustment.
4.Are there stiff links in the chain? If so, loosen them up. The chain should be replaced every year as a minimum.
4.Check condition of wheels. Are they out of true? Adjust or have a shop do this if necessary.
5.Check condition of the tires. Do they need to be replaced or repaired?Also check your Tire pressure.
6.Check condition of the pump and spare. Is there a repair kit?
7.Clean out your water bottles. There may be things growing in them.This is a long distance ride, you may need extra water bottles.
Tool you need
Tire repair kit & if you have muti-tool please bring it.
Food
Anything you comfortable with. Some Sport drink.
As this ride is more that 2 hr, make sure you eat during the ride.
There is rest stops during the ride, some might not have shop opening during the odd hours.Please top up your water supply when you have need.
Last, all the experience rider please add on to the list.

Since there are 4 group, i am wonder if want to divide ?
2 groups do anti-clockwise, 2 groups do clockwise.
Reason : If there is a 15 mins interval between moving off, Group4 will have to wait for 60 mins. Also @ break point, lesser people to queue for the shops there are still open. | |
