| A saddle is a very personal thing, there is no such thing as a good or bad saddle, only have suitable saddle. because each person's riding style and body shape is unique. A suitable saddle is one that does not cause pain or discomfort moments after you mount your bike. it should also conform well to your butt shape and not cause any kind of discomfort when you first sit on it. you will always feel numbness after a very long period on it because of the restricted bloodflow. the solution to ease that is to "move your butt around" while on the ride. (kinda hard to describe the action, but you get the idea.. :p) coming back, choosing a suitable saddle is like buying undergarments. you have to try it to like it. some people get what they want after a few saddles, while others are less unlucky. | |

| Thanks for the inputs, my current stock saddle on my Dahon is giving a lot of pain and numbness as compared my previous bike, i tried adjusting the saddle angle and height, not helping. Here is not USA where you can return a product within a certain period if you are not satisfied with it. I mean, no local bike shop would accept a return good (unless it is physically faulty). I am now looking at the Selle Italia (I believe the split in the middle will reduce numbness) and Brooks...hate making decision like this... | |
