1st Jan 2012 Monkey Alley @ Thomson ride

This is the first ride for 2012 and lets do the Monkey Alley@ Thomson road ride

Meeting point: Casuarina open air carpark. it is very near here http://www.casuarinacurry.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=163&Itemid=222
Time: 1st Jan 2012, Sunday 730am
Distance: 30 km +-
Rating: Suitable for all. For children, please ensure they are conditioned to ride this distance. Many slopes but beautiful trees.

Notes: Please have breakfast or come earlier at Start point to eat. There are no eating stop until the Zoo.

-Thomson road Casuarina rd open air carpark
- Old upper Thomson road to lower pierce, slopes and nice trees... with groups of monkeys(hence monkey alley)
- turn back to upper thomson road to mandai road. There is PCN here if u not comfortable on road.
- mandai pcn to zoo
- Head back to start point

Rules on the ride
1 ) This ride is open to all.
2 ) Be punctual. We wait for slow riders, not late-comers.
3 ) Ride will be canceled if heavy rain.
4 ) As rides are at night, its COMPULSORY to have lights, blinkers or light reflectors on your bike.
5 ) Bring your own spare tube or cab fare.
6 ) Wear a helmet / Proper covered shoes for your own safety.
7 ) Those joining the ride, pls comply to ALL LTA rules on cycling on public road during the ride.
8 ) Strictly cycle in a single file on public roads unless overtaking.
9 ) We reserve the rights to refuse any participation from any cyclist(s) at any point of time.
10 ) To instill and promote safety in cycling, we will not hesitate to "STRONGLY ADVISE" rider(s) who compromises safety on himself and/or the whole group during the ride.
11 ) We are just an informal group of cyclists, therefore none of us is liable or responsible for any accident or mishap that occurs to you during any of the rides we organise.
12 ) Always cycle with safety in mind at all times.
13 ) By joining the ride, means you have read the Terms and Conditions with full understanding

Folks, Pls ride safe tomorrow! High gradient slopes, brake periodically downslope. Do not use front brake. Watch out for monkeys on the road. Very slippery PCN section at Mandai. MOST IMPORTANT, AT LEAST ONE BIKE LENGTH AWAY FROM THE FRONT!

Do not take the safety riders and Team Panda for granted, they cannot be there for you all the time! Safety ultimately lies in your ownself!!

NO MORE accidents ok!!!!!!
