SUPPORT FOR THE NEA BIKE CASE

It is sad to learn that while trying to be more green and to promote cycling as part of work, some one in NEA got into trouble all becos of complaints from people who have little knowledge about the true value of bicycles.
Apart from our dear friend and team leader, hardly anyone else has written and supported this correct selection of the model purchased.

Sorry, i coldnt agreed wif you. I simply do not agree that 2.2k bike will increase much work efficiently. Brompton are for someone who love english bike. By using $500-$800 foldie cant perform the job as well? Or only 2.2k bike are clean n green?

Brompton are a very pricey bike. Its does come wif high end parts. Its expensive because its hand build i believe. Brompton Are also meant to loved and cycle. Those who really like then will own it.

Like we said, rolex tells a time. So are tissot...

Or couse i dun agreed abt 100-200 dollars foldie from supermart...

No offence...

I support the usage of the foldable bike for the park officers doing their work.
And I don't mind them using a better quality bike, for them to ride with better comfort, and the bike should be durable and easy serviceable.

But why brompton? I don't feel that it is more difficult to ride or less durable using a dahon? I can fold the dahon faster than a brompton, and the folded package is equally small.

But worst of all and the biggest joke is that the tender can be concluded with only 1 bid.... then why waste time and money going through the motion of the tendering process?

Please remember, the money they spent to buy the bikes are from every tax payer in Singapore. They should spent it wisely.
