12th June - Roam round Ubi and Visit to Ewalker

Ewalker, the bicycle shop whom carrys the pacific foldies have invited lovecycling to their shop opening. There will be the full range of pacific and birdy bikes on display and purchase(of course). Best of all.... there is free makan.... for the first 30.

OK, hear this!!!! Mr George Lin of Pacific Cycles will be there too!!!!! woooohhooo...!!!! Don't miss this opportunity to meet this legend!

Meeting location: E-Walker , 3005 Ubi Ave 3#01.52Singapore 408861 (The nearest MRT station is MacPherson.)
Ride around the industrial parks, Dakota crescent with some lucky folks trying out new pacific bikes

Most of the route are quiet streets on Sunday morning and cycling paths. We will gather at E-Walker first and finish there to have makan (provided by E-Walker). Some of us can leave our bikes there and pick up a test bike from E-Walker. We will go anti-clockwise starting from the RED push-pin as indicated in the map.

You can reserve here a demo bike to use for the Sunday ride. There are total 15 demo bikes for test ride.

Demo bikes Terms and condition:
1) Rider need to leave their IC or Driving License to swap with the bicycle. The IC/Driving license is to be return when the rider return the bicycle. EWalker will not make copy of the IC document.
2) Demo bikes are for test ride during Sunday morning ride only and must be return before noon, 12/06-2011.
3) Please check the bike are in good and working condition before riding. The bicycle is to be return in similar good and working condition.
4) If the bicycle are damaged during the ride, an appropriate charge will be imposed for the repair cost.

Precaution: we need to look out for L-plate cars within the UBI industrial area. and on the way back I am not entirely sure how to cross the PIE at Jalan Eunors, but I will find out later. (any suggestion from the group?)

1 ) This ride is open to all.
2 ) Be punctual. We wait for slow riders, not late-comers.
3 ) Ride will be canceled if heavy rain.
4 ) As rides are at night, its COMPULSORY to have lights, blinkers or light reflectors on your bike.
5 ) Bring your own spare tube or cab fare.
6 ) Wear a helmet / Proper covered shoes for your own safety.
7 ) Those joining the ride, pls comply to ALL LTA rules on cycling on public road during the ride.
8 ) Strictly cycle in a single file on public roads unless overtaking.
9 ) We reserve the rights to refuse any participation from any cyclist(s) at any point of time.
10 ) To instill and promote safety in cycling, we will not hesitate to "STRONGLY ADVISE" rider(s) who compromises safety on himself and/or the whole group during the ride.
11 ) We are just an informal group of cyclists, therefore none of us is liable or responsible for any accident or mishap that occurs to you during any of the rides we organise.
12 ) Always cycle with safety in mind at all times.
13 ) By joining the ride, means you have read the Terms and Conditions with full understanding.

too bad its a Sunday, if not can visit the other bike shops at Vertex haha.
