Mary, I have discussed this with George Lim and this is issue. 128 nite ride is on 15 Oct. The fastest group will reach ECP around 3-4am. While the main party(slower ones) will reach ECP around 7ish. We will not divert the 128 km route but end at ECP. Then collect the riders around 730 to head to TTS hospital. We need to access if the riders are physically ok or not. It is very dangerous if they are too tired. Safety first.

Hello Everyone,

With the World Hospice Day Ride 2011 just over a week from today, here's an update on the event. The detailed programme is as follows (also available on www.hospicedayride.sg).

7am onwards
Registration at Singapore Hospice Council at Jalan Tan Tock Seng

8.30am
Flag-off by Past Chairman Dr Tan Kee Wee at Jalan Tan Tock Seng / Mandalay Rd

9.10am
Procession of 250 - 300 cyclists join East Coast Park at Fort Road

9.15 to 9.50am
Cyclists and Harley Owners Group arrive at Casuarina Grove
(300m from Carpark F2, East Coast Park)

Djembe (African drumming) performance by Liladrums

10.00am
Welcoming remarks by Dr Ramaswamy Akhileswaran, Chairman Singapore Hospice Council
Presentation of mementos to sponsors

10.10am
Community drum circle

10.50am
Till we meet again


We expect to have 350 to 400 participants comprising cyclists and
volunteers. There will also be a contingent from the Harley Owners' Group.

At the finishing point, the public will also be invited to join the
carnival.

At the East Coast Park carnival, the SHC will be presenting a token of
appreciation to you or your appointed representative.

On behalf of all the organizing committee and the Singapore Hospice Council, we thank you again for your support and look forward to seeing you on Sunday October 16th 2011.

I understand most are going for the 128 the previous night, and I believe quite a few will be too tired to go for this afterwards.

that place isn't that big, should be able to see us.
