Ride Terms and conditions

1) Be punctual. We wait for slow riders, not late-comers.
2) Ride will be canceled if heavy rain.
3) Bring your own spare tube or cab fare.
4) Wear a helmet / Proper covered shoes for your own safety
5) Those joining the ride, pls comply to ALL LTA rules on cycling on public road during the ride.
6) Strictly cycle in a single file on public roads unless overtaking.
7) Follow the lead rider and don’t over take. Inform lead and Sweeper if u leaving group
Help one an other, it is not a race. We get home as a team, suffer as a team
9) If there is a long gap from riders, pls inform lead rider and help to spread out to avoid break contact
10) Lead rider have right to stop rider from continuing if he deems the riders to be not in a condition to ride.
11) We reserve the rights to refuse any participation from any cyclist(s) at any point of time.
12) To instill and promote safety in cycling, we will not hesitate to "STRONGLY ADVISE" rider(s) who compromises safety on himself and/or the whole group during the ride.
13) We are just an informal group of cyclists, therefore none of us is liable or responsible for any accident or mishap that occurs to you during any of the rides we organise.
14) Always cycle with safety in mind at all times.
15) By joining the ride, means you have read the Terms and Conditions with full understanding

Just to clarify, this ride is on every Friday night, meeting between 10.30 and 10.45pm at Popeye's Punggol?

How long is the ride for usually? No speed requirement, ie slow riders ok?

take 2-3 hr or longer, slow speed 15-20 km/h.

I think I have been seeing this group on Friday nights but was shy to approach and ask to join.
So lucky I found out this forum and perhaps found the group.
I riding at Urata MTB. Smile

Hi Dean,

Will like to find out if the Punggol ride for tonight is onz? If yes, how is the route like? Starting and ending point at Punggol? My friend and I will like to join but we have no helmet yet..

Yes we are onz every friday nite, but due to LCSG have a event on Saturday nite, so we dun post there for this friday.

Pls try to get a helmet, it's for ur own safety.

Friday Night Ride: 6 Jul 2012, Punggol waterway to Bay South Gardens!

Ride Organiser: Dean, 9 1 1 9 0 1 9 0

Time: 1030pm to 1045pm

Meeting location: Punggol Popeye

Ride rating: Partial travel on roads.

Others: Total distance around 45 km, Speed around 20km/h or slower, Pit stop at Bay South Gardens, and Koptiam at V Hotel

Route: Punggol waterway > Hougang PCN -> Defu Lane -> Paya Lebar > Circuit road > Geylang > Kallang Industrial Estate > Kallang PCN > Flyer > MBS > Marina South > (Pitstop at) Gardens > Marina South > MBS > Flyer > Kallang PCN > Vhotel (pit stop for drinks) > Kallang > Geylang > Kallang Ind Estate > Paya Lebar > Defu Lane > Hougang PCN > Punggol Waterway

Hi, I stay in Punggol and have been looking around for months for cycling kakis. I'll assume that it shall be held every Friday night about 10.30pm. Weekly routes vary? Will there be any prior notice given if a particular Friday is cancelled? Thanx!

Hi there! I riding a pacific carryme bike is it ok for the group speed? Cos I guess I spot some carrymes in the photos...but not sure its ok for the friday grp cheers! Smile

Hi Eric, pls look out for our event, some event should be no problem, but some event we need to have fast speed to clear.
