Third Annual Ride of Silence Singapore - 21 May 2011

For those who would like to dedicate this years Ride of Silence Singapore to the memory of Paul Lim, Ros Singapore have prepared this shirt for everyone to sign. We would then offer it to the family as a show of support. The shirt is located at My Bike Shop (25 Jalan Mas Puteh, 6775 7133).

yeah, just add simple garter to the hem so you can get a stretchy shirt that won't fly up.

** Please read attentively, it's all important information **


Hello Everyone,


With 10 days to go before Ride of Silence Singapore, I would like to remind everyone that


Ride of Silence is NOT a race, it's a PROCESSION to honor the cyclists that have been killed or injured while cycling.


We will remain SILENT throughout the procession to show our respect and support to the friends and family of the victims, who will be with us.


We will wear WHITE SHIRTS to demonstrate our unity and as a call for action to improve safety conditions on Singapore's roads.


We will ride TOGETHER at the same speed (< 20kmh) from start to finish.



Notice:
------
We will ride 20km on real roads, with real traffic and we will be faced with real situations. Even though we will be escorted by 6 motorcycles and be held together by marshals, you will need to be alert and exert all road safety practices at all times, as you would during normal cycling circumstances.


Helmets will be mandatory, without exception ( there is still time to buy one ! )


Earphones are disallowed.



On Saturday :

8am We will meet at the Marina Bay Sands Promenade (Marina Blvd side) and perform liability waiver sign-off (or hand in).
9:40 Announcements and instructions
10:00 Flag-off
.... Ride
11:20 Return
.... salutations, discussion

!!!! we have a nothing left behind policy so be tidy!

Please, shall we meet at Merlion Park at 8.15am ( group picture at 8.25 am ) and we move out to Marina Bay Sands Promenade at 8.35am .. please punctual !!


Reminder , Dress code is WHITE or ROS T-shirt.

2nd reminder , my keep your MP3 at home and would encourage PLEASE no Ear piece for music / silent your mobile phone. As this event is to HONOR those who have been injured or killed ( Ride of silence ).
