I don't think this is possible. Reason is simple - if you last min pull out and compensation is allowed, then those who will be going will share your cost. The bumboat will be a good example. Then it will become unfair to them. And moreover, you will be taking up the slot for those whom can make it.[/quote]

You're right about depriving the opportunity for those who wants to go. Boat fare to and fro don't cost much though even if agreed to paid up. I think the hotel may cost more. Anyway the recce trip is for tough riders, I think I'm not that fit yet. Thought one way is about 50 - 60 km only and trip back will be the same ? For the April ride, where will the cyclists put up for the night, at which hotel and cost how much ? Most probably join that ride.

just come for our sunday rides! the only times I ride besides sunday (and some occasional saturdays) is when I cycle to work on weekdays..

Usually can't make Sundays. Saturdays still okay.
I got my Dahon fitted properly to me with better handlebars, etc., so the ride should be a lot better than before.

I am on shift work. Only once a month, I have Sat & Sun off. My next off will be on 26th Sat.

i'm kian lim..the guy who is going for book the accommodation for you all..

some details about the room..the hotel has 5 rooms per floor with a hall for us to talk cock after a long day of ride..one floor can accommodate 13 pax..3 rooms are with 1 double bed, 1 room with 2 double bed and 1 room with 1 double and 1 single bed..

Please join us on 12 & 13 Mar 2011.

Hi! Decided to withdraw from recce trip after all. Not sure of pace and if I can commit to training consistently and since this is recce trip, don't wanna take away from purpose of trip.

If anyone wants to go Pengarang again on a Saturday or Desaru at more leisurely pace during March hols, please let me know. Would love to join the rides then.
